Me and my ......
One of the joys of raising plants from seed is that you often get to see some of the natural variation that is missing from the homogeneous clones that make for good commerce in horticulture. This form of Crocus serotinus salzmannii is subtly different from it's seed parent and just a bit more beautiful for that. This one was raised from seed sown in 2010 collected from bulbs I was given in 1997.
Jamie still out of sorts so a quiet day at home enlivened by a welfare visit from my bosses. Not a lot they can do but at least they're giving me a lot of time to try and find a way of returning to work. I'm very grateful for that. Apart from that, the kitchen is a little cleaner and tidier. An evening with Jamie awaits.
