Through a lens darkly

Entropy

I took over 200 photographs today (some might call that overkill) when Simon and I visited our adorable niece and nephew. I chose this image for today's blip because I loved the colours and textures, and I've always been drawn towards images of decay and dereliction.

This rusty structure is part of an old petrol pump that hasn't been used in 10 years. It's on the forecourt at the garage where our car was serviced today. We might have to find a new garage, as Simon's not sure about how much we were charged - for instance, does £70 for an oil change (just for the oil, not for the labour) seem steep to anyone else?
