This part of the East Coast is just to the north of Southwold and is a beautiful area for a walk. The low sandy cliffs are eroding fast and several trees have ended up on the beach and are quite photogenic. In places you can see that the cliff edge has given way by a metre or more in the last few months. Benacre Mere is in the background and is only protected from the sea by a sandy bank about a metre high. Our walk  was about 4.5 miles and we rewarded ourselves with a Scone and a drink afterwards.
