Over the Pavement

The limestone beach at Skateraw, East Lothian.

Broad pavement.

No1 offspring, Euphette, wandered up the road to see us today. After cups of tea and sitting talking to her mother, Euphemia, we went on a harbour hunt.

On my OS map, there is clearly marked Skateraw Harbour. Euphette and I walked all over the place but no harbour!

On returning to the car we had another look at the map. It became obvious that the bit of a wall sticking out from the back of the Torness nuclear power station was in fact the harbour.

Next time we'll go a bit further afield and have a look at Cove.

Looking north with the power station behind, the Barns Ness Lighthouse (again!) with Bass Rock in the distance and then the Fife coast.
