Messing with Macro

Spent part of a wet day faffing around with a tripod and macro settings, watched by a slightly puzzled dog.  I wonder what dogs really think of the things we get up to?  They probably don't attempt to understand anything that doesn't directly relate to food, walkies or sleep.

Macro techniques slowly improving.  Not sure I really understand spot metering and 18% grey though.

Oops!  I think those beads could do with a dust.  It's amazing what tiny specks are shown up in macro.
