Gluten-free Chocolate and Caramel Cake

We had to go to Wickes this morning to get some items so that my husband can make a temporary set of steps leading up to the back door. Those made by one of our builders fell apart. As we were almost into Bishop’s Stortford, we decided to have breakfast in Café Thyme; my breakfast is today’s picture. An excellent and very moorish gluten-free chocolate and caramel cake. We went into Poundland, which is closing down in Bishop’s Stortford and although I did not need any more wool I purchased twelve balls in darker colours. This will make at least eight, possibly nine, hats for the homeless in Cambridge for £6. Now I need to get them knitted before it gets cold so that Jimimy’s can distribute them before it gets too cold.

I took a coat with me today as it appeared to be cold first thing, but it was too warm and I ended up carrying it in my shopping bag.
