Passion flower
Rain and report writing (together with a bit of decorating and gardening) have taken my focus away from photography. At the moment the most I seem to do is dash round the garden with the camera just before dusk. Today I found this beautiful passion flower draped over the back of a garden bench. The plant has been with us for many years, but has had its ups and downs. Most of the parent plant was killed by a severe winter some years ago, but an offshoot survived in the greenhouse, though it never flowered there. Last year we took the greenhouse down and this season it's thrived outdoors again, culminating in a succession of beautiful blooms. A real survivor...
