Wet then drier. .....

A lot of rain last night and this morning.
When it stopped , got the grain dryer rigged up and started to dry some wet oats. The last load we cut in the rain last night was sitting at 20.5 % . It needs to be down to below 16% to store . The drier mixes the grain while blowing air through it. The air is heated by a burner flame which runs on diesel. When the correct % is reached then you have to blow cold air through the grain to cool it down again.
By tonight had managed 35 tons which has hardly made a dent on the pile in the shed. This may take some time. And we still have 120 acres of barley to cut yet. Ho hum.
