So Long, Friend

Tonight we said goodbye to our old, loved van. It's been a huge part of our family life since my parents bought it new in the 90s. We used the van for my Dad's work; travelling around the country selling his cabinets. Dad converted the inside to a camper, and we would pile in with our three Beagles and go on holidays around the UK, all sleeping in the van (or sometimes I'd pitch up my tent inside the awning). Mum and Dad used the van for holidays until very recently, and lots of my friends remember Dad driving us to concerts/airports; all sitting in the back in the airplane seats.

It was such a hard decision to sell it, but it was gradually rusting up and we know Dad would have done the same. It was really awful seeing it drive off this evening, but we have so many great memories. It's new home is with a young family who are excited at the thought of camping holidays, so it's nice to know it has gone to a good home.
