Keepsakes
A few months ago I started clearing out a lot of my posessions and going fairly minimal... This month I've started going through and organising what's left over. When I rediscovered a collection of loved-ones handwriting, dating back to childhood. I wondered if I'd just taken for granted that everyone holds onto notes, postcards, birthday cards, Christmas tags.
This box has my Grandfather's and great-Grandmothers handwriting inscribed in pencil into the inside of the lid.
I adore photos of loved ones, obviously, but there's something deeply textural and evocative and (I'm unabashed) sentimental, about them for me.
Does anyone else do this?
