Stars
A morning at the observatory. On a gorgeous, crisp, sunny day. But not a star in the sky.
Doors Open Day means the city takes over its attractions... the ones you're not usually allowed inside.
I love stars. I love gazing at them. I could do it all day (or night, you know what I mean)... I think about them alot. I'm a bit of a space caddette, see. . They confuse me, their sheer scale, their beauty. So, I'm not sure the observatory trip was for most - me or the CEO?
We looked through telescopes, we studied the sun, we enjoyed the views over the city, he made a rocket, he took it off, he met friends, he ran about, we played with robots, listened to a short lecture, wondered at a mini-planetarium. I looked at lots of photos of stars...
This photo is of some kind of demonstration of visable light... And how they take pictures of the stars. Three colours. combine. Infra red. And a bluey thing. And, like... See that's where i get lost. I ended just gazing admiringly at the pretty pictures, wondering if I will ever be able to comprehend the sheer scale and size of the universe.
