Son of Spike

I have to come clean and say that it was my son who actually took this photo (with my camera) The ones I took weren't quite as good.
This is a baby hedgehog, one of two who were in our front garden today. He was incredibly tame but sadly a bit mangled. Not sure if he had an infection or whether he had had an encounter with a cat or dog (or fox?) The two of them were wandering about quite happily in the middle of the afternoon. We've put him into our hedgehog house with some clean straw to see if he will take up residence there for the winter.
