The above is a link .Having lost my write up three times have opted for a link to this wonderful place  and it's history. One of the best preserved military structures in Europe it's seen a lot of action . Today we went to see the bats .The Citadel serves as home to 10,000 bats who come here .Hiding places and very thick brick walls make sure they get through cold winters .Next month I'm off on a bat evening and hope to have a truly batty experience .
