Gala Day

Last week we got it wrong.  So we tried again - this time we were treated to around 30 7¼" Gauge locomotives travelling around the Miniature Railway layout in Thompson Park, Burnley.  Not too busy this morning, but they expect to have a bumper week-end.  The locos are quite amazing - the majority are steam, but some diesel and some electric were there. The attention to detail is incredible.  The lovely thing is the owners are so proud and enthusiastic about their engines and are only too happy to chat and be blipped.  This is 'Sophie B' about to leave for another circuit. (And yes, I did have a ride - see extra) :-)
I hope the weather is good for them - they deserve it.
