DAM AND . . .

. . . blow me down . . .
an incredible day, under superb blue skies, for our first visit to Burton Constable Hall and the surrounding 330 acres of parkland. Designed by Capability Brown, the parkland shows some of his best work. He converted two rectangular fishponds into serpentine lakes, at one end of which is a dam disguised as this bridge shown in the main image.
Extra shows part of the Orangery . . . next to which is . . . coffee and cake !
