Smokey Skies

So, guess I can add another photo, for the 4th of September.  This is at my brother-in-law's son's place, not far from us.  They have acreage and I took this photo of their fence and property.  The skies are filled with forest fire smoke from the fire in the Columbia River Gorge.  This was something new for a lot of us, to have to live with such smokey conditions for such a long period of time.  The wind would shift and it would go away, then it shifted back and we'd get the smoke back again. It was burning our eyes and throats, not to mention what it did to our beautiful forest.  What a shame and there is a 15-year-old kid responsible for this as he was shooting off fireworks into the forest.  I do hope he will be punished accordingly as he knew what he was doing.
