Silly Saturday

This is what remains of the Robinia Mop Top tree. There is one on either side of the front gate. They look nice some of the year, but very silly when they have had their yearly haircut ( with a chain saw). I would prefer a tree that can grow to a convenient size and not need this drastic treatment each year.

I weeded some more of the front garden beds while Bob attacked these and two photinias out the front. I wouldn't plant them either as they grow too fast and have horrid smelling flowers. The rest of the garden is more to my eclectic taste.
