Best Street Photography Website

Spent the day at a meeting of the RPS Digital Photography group at Holiday Inn, Birmingham Airport. Despite the name, DiG encompasses all genres of photography. It's not specifically about digital manipulation.

Very interesting presentations and I picked up some valuable pointers. Also reasonable reductions on equipment brought by the traders. I treated myself, again, to a small Sony camera, hoping that it would be more discrete for street photography, especially in Morocco. Will have to see.

Today's blip is a grab of a presentation by Nick Turpin, very well known for his street photography, showing the website he created as a source of Street inspiration. Look for In-Public. Apparently far more people search for street photography on Flickr every day than portrait or landscape photography.

Overjoyed to meet Margaret and Maurice there and a chat at lunchtime. Margaret took a panel of prints into the RPS Advisory session and was strongly encouraged to go ahead and apply for Distinction.
