Bloodhound SSC

Today was our Company Families' Day (see extra), the first since 2010 and it was excellent. Over 5,000 people attended with many attractions including Bloodhouse SSC, the car aiming to take the world land speed record beyond 1,000mph. It has a jet engine that gets it to 200mph then the rocket kicks in with a Jaguar car engine pumping the fuel. Didn't have much boot space for shopping though.

Our brass band also played at the event as did a local wind band, both to a very appreciative audience.

Very enjoyable indeed.
