Motherless?

Some may remember that the redneck kittens disappeared awhile ago, then we had a reunion a few days later when they returned. So, now mom (Fluffy) isn't showing up with the kittens, however she did show up on the game camera in the wee hours. I really miss having Fluffy and Joshua greet us at our car when we drive up. The lady at the Catnip Sanctuary said that the average age for feral cats is 5 years. We're seeing that this holds pretty true. We're also realizing that once they reach the age of these kittens, they are pretty determined to be free and wild. When they first appear and haven't figured out they're wild yet, there's about 2 days when it seems we can catch them. After that, they just realize they have to stay as far away as they can. I really thought this little troop would be easier since their mom had become so friendly with us.

I still have to say, they are so fun to watch when they play! Remember when their eyes were blue? What happened?
