Cormorants

There were two cormorants occupying the rocks at the beach today. It wasn't possible to get close enough to got a good shot but I did notice some typical behaviours, holding out their wings to dry and meticulous preening followed by standing almost motionless with their backs to the heat of the sun. I enjoyed a swim and then the shade of a sun parasol for reading texting and knitting.
