Shan Lady

Today's blip is a picture of another souvenir from my recent travels in Asia.

This is a carving of a woman from Shan state in Burma. She is very beautiful with the most amazing child-bearing hips!

She now takes pride of place in the lounge room after being resident in an antique shop in Mandalay for what appeared to be a very long time judging by the layer of dust she was under at the time of purchase.
