Great River Racers passing Canary Wharf

Helen and I got the train up to Cannon Street, had brunch near Tower Bridge, then walked back along the riverside to Greenwich. The Great River Race was in progress - we saw our first rowers as we rounded the bend at Rotherhithe and then dozens more as we got nearer to the startpoint at the western end of Millwall Dock. There was also a "Secret London Run" under way with runners, some in fancy dress, making their way down to the finish point in Sayes Park in Deptford.
