Empty Church

No bell ringing this morning, but the chance to enjoy the lovely autumn sunshine on a Ted walk.

We also harvested the last of the potatoes at the allotment and started to tidy it up for winter.....not much of a start mind you!

Later we went to the Church to help clear it and, of course, to empty our ringing room so that the reordering can start.  We will have our last ringing practice at St Nicholas this coming Thursday.. The church is expected to be closed for 6 months.  I also heard the news that our Vicar is retiring next year, that was quite a surprise!  

The Church looks very sad now it's empty but I am sure it will look and feel a lot better in 6 months time.  It is a very special place for Matt and I as it is where we first met some 12 years ago,  and married there 2 years ago.
