A 'Copter in Planes!

It's been over 30C and too hot to go walking comfortbly over mountains, so we headed about an hour drive from our villa in Orba, to a mountain village called Planes. Planes is a town of around 900 inhabitants in the north of the province of Alicante. It was built around a 12th century muslim castle and surrounded by a beautiful valley.

The blipfoto is an aerial taken with my quad-copter hence the title of a 'copter in Planes!  It shows most of this quaint village with a reservoir in the distance behind it. We enjoyed a walk around it. The castle is not open to the public and as usual the town was almost deserted with the locals probably enjoying a siesta!

We're off to our local Pizzeria tonight as we've eaten in for a few days. The son had the mussels as a starter when he was here and they were fab so I'm hoping they'll be on the menu tonight.
