My little prince

Me: Shall I walk you up to the school and we could say goodbye there?
Will: Why? That would be weird. It's not like I don't know the way.
Me: Oh. Ok. Bye then

And then he was off, a super excited ball of looking forward to his week of adventure. Obviously all I can do now is wonder how he is, what he is doing, is he happy?

Then I drove The Beast to Norfolk (my dad's car; there are several good reasons why it made sense for me to drive it here today). It's mental. Full of buttons and beeps for everything. I'm just used to an on/off for the radio and a twiddly knob for the heater. I made the children sort out the radio on the way to school, found the windscreen wipers and I thought that would do me for one day's training. Work all afternoon, drinks with lovely colleague, now I'm in my pyjamas getting some telly sorted on one of the multiple beds in my (normal for once thank goodness) hotel room.
