Jeff Rich

A drumming workshop with Jeff Rich, drummer for Status Quo, today. She was chuffed to bits to be picked to play in front of all the juniors with him. She really enjoyed the workshop. Her teacher was impressed with her knowledge of the percussion section too.

The workshop and dance class were the highlights of an otherwise really terrible day for her though. We had an awful morning and then she left her PE bag at home, had forgotten to do her homework, was late, cried at the school doors and had to be taken from me. She freaked out in maths and got in a tizz because she couldn't do it- or thought she couldn't. Then band tonight was crap. Really crap. I'm working on that though. But I felt for her today when she said "mama, today sucked really". Because it did.
