Went to spend the day with the Reads today. They picked us up at Taunton and we drove to Knightshayes near Tiverton (via a pitstop for brunch at a farm shop).

Beautiful gardens, looking slightly autumnal. We wandered for ages and I made friends with a cat (who couldn’t care less about my presence but I’m maintaining that we were friends), until it started to drizzle and we escaped inside to tour the house.

Had a small lunch then back to Taunton. Moira made a pumpkin pilaf with all sorts of delicious things in, then back to Bristol.
