What can one do with an old radio valve? - Recycle it into a robot of course!
 
We're currently in Departures at Detroit airport awaiting our flight home via Amsterdam - after a super holiday. We spent the first part of the day at Ann Arbor, a very pleasant town about 40 miles west of Detroit - that's where we saw the robot valves. (Sorry it's not a perfect photo, I took it rather quickly before the shop assistant saw me!)
