Flowers in the Sand

I had an errand in North Berwick, and we enjoyed a walk along the beach. The town was very busy on a warm Sunday afternoon. I don't know what this is, but the flowers are pretty.

Edit: further research has identified it as Sea rocket. Apparently it is edible, so next time I see it I will be picking some.
