refuge on a rainy day

This morning's walk in the chilly rain was a wake up call that fall is here. Today's laundry included the shorts and light shirts that I wore last week in NC, and I doubt I will get them out again before next year. Sad but true.
The birds were not lingering at the feeder, either, but were grabbing a bite and retreating to our big pine tree. Here is a Mountain Chickadee taking shelter in the rain.
