Friends and Dahlias
B and I drove over to Anglesey Abbey to meet up with our dear friends M, D and V. It was a proper ‘girl’s day out’, starting with coffee and cake, then a meander around the gardens and grounds of this beautiful NT property, including a tour of the house, and a visit to the watermill. Then back to the café for lunch and a natter. We then explored more of the grounds and found the Dahlia garden, a special planting of a large crescent of Dahlias ranging from purple tinged pinks at one end through a range of hot pinks, reds, scarlets, oranges, peach, and yellows flowers at the other end. I only had my compact camera with me today so concentrated on close ups of the blooms. The extra is of the house which was built within the site of the old original abbey.
A day of fun, laughter, chat and friendship.
