Figwort weevil

I absolutely love weevils! With their long snouts and funny antennae, they look really quite comical to me. Of course I realize they don't all have long snouts, or funny antennae, but this tiny beauty, the Figwort weevil Cionus scrophulariae certainly does!
This fairly small weevil is well marked and fairly easily identified, and as the name suggests feeds on figwort. It is fairly frequent and widespread in the UK
