Ickworth

After an early start, we drove to Norwich to drop youngest back to uni in time for a 1 o' clock lecture then headed to Ickworth, a National Trust property just south of Bury St Edmunds. It was good to visit somewhere with our recently gifted NT membership.

This building with a huge rotunda was planned and built by a man....who died before he saw it finished. Reminded us of the story of the rich fool in the New Testament.

Photo tweaked in Photoshop with its auto function. Not sure, it makes the greenery brighter but bleeds colour from the sky although I have to admit, it was warm but no blue sky today :(
