Lupine Magic

The lupine looked very poor after the flowers were gone and had fungus and aphid issues so I cut them down. From previous years, I knew they did not age well after flowering. After chopping down they started to regrow into a beautiful foliage. This was enhanced by a bit of rain that collected in the leaves. I will need to remember this for next year as usually I hate cutting down plants too early.
