2017 Tuesday -- Corona's "Canyon Fire"

I was driving toward the college yesterday, Monday, at about 12:30, headed for a one o'clock meeting when the fire trucks passed me going the other way with their lights and sirens on. Then when I returned home, an hour or so later, the smoke was in a large plume.

We watched the fire through the evening and the flames looked huge. When we woke this morning, this photo is the scene we could see.

This fire is across town from us, but we have many friends in that area of our community. Reading our friends' reports and seeing their photos on Facebook has given us a bird's eye view of this terrible fire.
