Rocamadour.

A beautiful village clinging to the rocks high above the Alzou Valley.
The buildings rise in stages up the side of a sheer cliff . The town has been a place of pilgrimage for more than 900 years and the very devout climb up to the Abbey on their knees. We did not see anyone doing this, although it has been made much easier for them, as the steps have been taken away, and replaced with a steep slope.
