Knocking off

The local knocking shop has been closed. Today it's getting gutted so if any Edinburgh blippers fancy a bed and don't mind a few loose springs and can ignore the stains then Young Street is the place to go. There are also quite a few mirrors up for grabs.

It had become an entertaining diversion to sit in The Cambridge Bar ( which is directly opposite) and watch sweaty, nervous customers darting in and out of the place.

Unfortunately their landlords, who just happen to be the Church of Scotland
( you couldn't make this up) knew nothing about the carnal usage of their offices until it hit the papers!

Naturally I never felt the urge to visit. Must be a combination of the love of a good woman (that's you Mrs Smith) and the fact that whilst the knocking shop was only 100 yards away from the office the Cambridge Bar is only 50 yards!
