My mom was out in the courtyard deadheading this low-growing rose. She does remarkably well with balance (and hamstrings and low back) when she bends over like this.

On our outing I noticed two losses: 1) She didn't recognize the library as the place she always likes to get free magazines, and 2) the word "intersection." This is a loss, but I have to give credit to her brain's fabulous creativity. She called it a "yes/no place."  I guess technically it should be a yes/no/maybe place to reflect all three lights and their implications, but still. I thought that was an excellent substitution.
