Wild Wednesday: Inflated
Today is G's ultra-short day so there was no rush to leave home. We ventured out around 11 mainly to let the cleaner have the place to himself (he doesn't like us disrupting his routine).
Coming back home, we decided to call into our favourite cafe on Beach Road for a masala (spiced) tea. [In my blip, it is the store on the left.] This little cafeteria is so popular, there is often a line of cars outside waiting. A man races out to take your order, then delivers it after a few minutes(!) and it cost us all of 40p for two teas in a styrofoam cup.
Anyway, there is this little grocery shop right next to it and their green alligator caught my eye. G noticed the little boy with the star. It doesn't compare to what we saw in Cyprus, but I thought it would be a good entry for Wild Wednesday. :)
And G did her second Skype lesson with her kids in Switzerland. And I watched the Tim Burton making of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Not having read the book as a child, and only ever heard bits of this story, I really do wonder about what movie makers are putting out these days! It was weird beyond words. :(
On a happier note, an ex-boss of mine needs some help with a project in Excel and I could earn a little bit of cash. :)
