playing and gambling

Little un was sick at the start of the week... Poor little thing had a virus and was all pale and feeble and spent her time sleeping in my lap... however she's back up to full speed and energy now, but was still off from nursery today, to avoid spreading contagion ...  

Dave has been working flat out on a project recently and has been glued to a computer day and night for ages,  but this was all submitted yesterday,  

and I have been living in an atmosphere of vomit and tense silence for the last few days... so today it was time to get out and do something nice... 

So we went to the seaside to wander along the promenade and teach little un about gambling in the arcades... much fun was had with hammering minions on the head, sitting on 'Peppa pig' and 'Lady and the Tramp' ride on machines, tying to capture toys with a claw, shooting frog zombies and also the obligatory penny falls games...

Little un came away with a small shiny tat keyring and 2 penny chew sweets... which only cost us about £3 in two pence pieces strategically rolled onto little moving shelves... personally I think it was quite a good haul...   

Then a nice lunch followed by a play in the playpark... I'm not sure who was having more fun on the seesaw,  Little un or Dave? 

So a golden day making precious family memories... Then tonight a screaming showdown about bedtime... Oh well, you can't have it all... I'm sure that in the future we will have a day that goes entirely well, but that time hasn't come just yet...
