Church of St. Euphemia, Rovinj
We're at the same small harbor in Rovinj (pronounced roveen) as for yesterday's blip, looking from the other side in nearly the opposite direction, exactly 30 minutes later at 7:30 pm (I've marked my precise position on the map for each blip). Earlier today we walked up the little hill to visit the church--the day's main outing. The church's prize possession is a large sarcophagus containing relics of Saint Euphemia, who was martyred for her Christian faith in 303 in Constantinople. Her relics were reportedly stolen from there and reached Rovinj in 800 (others are reportedly in Istanbul).
