Shining Sky is Fading, red to blue...
Have I mentioned how proud I am of my kids? No? Let me tell you...
Yesterday, we visited the Toolibelle in her new residence of Edinburgh. We did have a lovely day, and we left happy in the knowledge that she was settled and contented. Today - she sent me this picture; it was taken as she bimbled (Yes, Kathy, it is an inherited trait in our family), from her friend's flat to get the bus. She was ever so delighted to reach somewhere that she knew and recognised - finally feels that she is putting all the pieces of the city together and joining them up. Not only that - but she went in to Starbucks and had a frapaccino and a muffin and people watched!! That girl is chilling out nicely!
Boy - got in touch as soon as we got home yesterday. Boy has taken to providing the commentary on Soccer (He's in US), and Volleyball matches, and he was keen to hear my thoughts on her performance. It is such a great way of keeping up with him - and listening to him broadcasting on the web makes me feel like he is home with us. First few games and matches I listened to I held my breath... Boy was never one for keeping his potty mouth under control where a football match was concerned, and his sassy language at Volleyball was topped only by his sassy hitting.
But he is doing us proud. Speaking in a Scottish, yet understandable accent, the first few games he had an undeniable bias for his team, and where she was playing his girlfriend!! LOL, but he has that under control now and provides excellent all round coverage of the games, highlighted good and bad on both sides. Yesterday, he was the Kris Kamara of Mount Olive... The Girls were on a winning Streak, and his girlfriend playing exceptionally - scoring 23 kills in one match .... the squeals of excitement were uncontainable! But professional as ever... he signed off,"You've been watching Mount Olive Volleyball, and I've been Steven Cruse" How my heart did swell!
I can see him on CNN in a few years.
