Indian Summer

It feels like we might be heading towards an Indian Summer as it really did feel like summer today.  The forecast is not too good for the weekend though.

Today a part of the conservation area where the swans used to nest before the altercation with the geese!

A female common darter that was licking the dead twig - if you look very closely at the top left hand picture you might just see her tongue!  Maybe like butterflies who "lick" soil to get salts.
