Bookends.

I acquired these splendid bookends in Devon; of course the most important thing with bookends is that the books betwixt match the decor of the room and are suitably middle class to be displayed...... My copies of Wuthering Heights and Far From the Madding Crowd have orange spines so won't do at all - so a few purchases had to be made from EBay. Oh the horror, they are the wrong height!! It doesn’t get any worse than that. I am still awaiting Moby Dick (seemed appropriate) - I hope that’s not a third size!!

Spent the morning discussing my daughter’s future in education, and the afternoon discussing post-apocalypticism, socialism, communism, Donald Trump, and the Kardashians with my hairdresser.

Retirement is exhausting!
