Admiral IV
There is a mound in the garden which is covered in brambles and ivy, and the ivy is in full flower at the moment.
This has made it very attractive to the Red Admiral butterflies which have spent the summer as caterpillars on the nettles, which I allow to grow in the garden. They seem to be huge compared to the early summer Red Admirals, so I obviously grow a good nettle!
I know that many people will be horrified at me having brambles, ivy and nettles in my garden, but I love the butterflies that they attract...
...and they help to keep the willowherb down!
