THE BULLFINCH
We saw this Bullffinch on our walk in the Reinhardswald. He sat quietly on the branch, let us come nearer, and after we had taken photos, he left with a lovely swirling flight. I have seen Bulfinches in our garden, but only once or twice in a year.
In the morning I was busy in the garden, cleaning a path.
After lunch we drove to the Eisenbahnerheim, to see if the tree leaves had coloured. From there we climbed a path, and at the highest point we had pretty views down into the Weservalley. The sun shone upon the woods, the yellow leaves of trees turned golden.
The path to the Charlottestein was closed, and later we saw that there had been made wide paths for tractors to collect the trees that had been cut. And yes now we heard the sawing machines do their job too.
We walked around and down again to the Eisenbahnheim.
