Eilean Donan

We set off from a very wet and drizzly Fort William, collecting supplies from the good old local co-op.
By the time we got to the Kyle of Lochalsh, the weather had improved just in time for photos at the Castle. It was a real treat, I've always wanted to go and now I can tick it off the bucket list. I noticed there had been an Irish St.Donnan and or a Bishop Donnan in the history connected to the Castle. The middle 'N' had also been dropped in some but not all text, so who knows, perhaps there is a vague connection?

Onwards to Skye via the bridge and our search for the Fairy Pools began. Luckily with sat nav and a map we found them on the way Glenbrittle, with the immense back drop of the Black Cuillens. It was busy,  lots of stepping stones to jump over. There are many waterfalls and clear blue pools, that looked more amazing in the sunlight. Some folks were even attempting to swim in these freezing cold waterfalls and pools. I was happy to take photos, see extra.
We wondered over to the cottage in Glendale, that's in the very North West corner of Skye - here at last..................with no internet or mobile service.......bliss
