Sunday aftroon in Callander

Over to Callandar this afternoon to buy some lightweight walking shoes because they have an excellent factory outlet there.
We are off on holiday at the end of the month and the guidebook advises against sandals because of the snakes.

This is the weekend of the Jazz Festival and I half expected it to be heaving with people. Instead it was remarkably quiet though they say yesterday was busy.

Callandar is Dr Finlay country for those of us old enough to remember the TV series but for most tourists these days Callandar means the heart of the Trossachs.
