Waterloo

Tess' 2016 Birthday present tickets finally got some action via Mama Mia at HMT. She was desperate to sing and groove along the whole way through but kept her cool amidst a theatre throbbing with the prosecco filled cackles of gangs of wifeys. Aye, the good time gals were fairly loading up on their G&Ts at their feet to see them through the first half. And come half time I was nearly knocked over the dress circle into the stalls as the stampede made its way to the bar to top up their glasses with elbow war efficiency the likes of which havent been seen since the heady days of the infamous Aberdeen Church Jumble Sales of the early 80s ("Take no prisoners in pursuit of a cardigan" was surely the secret motto of the Guild way back then). Anyway, I digress, the show was great...thanks to the two sidekicks who stole the show. Tess loved it.
